If memecoins are going to proliferate as “attention monetization” their launchpads need to niche down into specific communities. ClankPads are vertical implementations of Clanker that are focused on individual communities and are owned independently.

/dogs will have a clankpad for launching dog based tokens. You’ll be more likely to launch a dog token on that ClankPad because the audience is aligned.

Why not just use Clanker?

Clanker is a generalized tool for generalized token launching. ClankPads are niche tools for niche token launching.

How do ClankPads make money?

Recently it was announced that Clank.fun gets a cut of the Clanker fee split for all tokens launched on their site. We propose extending this model to Clankpads. This incentivises the Clankpad owner to cultivate a strong community of clankers. (Let a thousand Proxy’s bloom)

What is true if ClankPads succeed?

Every community will have their own bespoke rules and norms for how to launch tokens. You’ll always be able to use clanker to launch your own token (a raw clank if you will). But by launching within a given ClankPad you’re more likely to get community support and thus more likely to have your token reach escape velocity.

This will spur a new wave of onchain native entrepreneurship like we have not seen in the past. Channel clients will finally have a real reason to exist and the hypertokenization of attention will reach its full potential.
